This Ocho Rkatsiteli wine is made from the similarly named Rkatsiteli grape, an endemic variety of grape grown in the vineyards of Alaverdi village, Akhmeta, Kakheti. The wine spends 6 months aging on skin in the Qvevri. This lustrous amber wine is special for its aromas of herbs and Georgian spices. It pairs perfectly with cheese, fried chicken, spiced boiled beef, stewed lamb with herbs and sour plums. Serve chilled at 12-14°C.
