This Winiveria Kisi Qvevri is a beautiful amber wine from the Kisi grape variety, which is grown in the vineyards around the village of Khorkheli.
The Kisi grape variety has not been used for a long time for commercially available wines and has therefor been considered “lost” for a while. Fortunately, there are now several wineries that have rediscovered this wine and ferment the wine the traditional way, in the Qvevri.
This Winiveria Kisi Qvevri wine has aromas of dried apricot and peach and a full spicy taste in the aftertaste. This velvety soft wine is characterized by a round, full taste which is well balanced with an acidity in the mouth.
The wine combines well with stewed or cooked meat. But also a cheese platter with a salty cheese compliments the wine very well.
