The Solomnishvili Saperavi 2009 is made from the Saperavi grape. The vineyard is located in the Kakheti region in East Georgia at about 500 meters above sea level. The wine has a nice ruby color.
This wine is made in the traditional, 8000 year old way by fermenting it in a Qvevri. The vines of the Solomnishvili vineyard are more than 75 years old! The older these sticks are, the deeper the roots will go (sometimes the roots will be 100 meters long!) Which will benefit the taste of the wine.
