This Ocho Mtsvane wine is made from the similarly named Kakhuri Mtsvane grape, an endemic variety of grape grown in the vineyards of Alaverdi village, Akhmeta, Kakheti.
The wine spends 6 months aging on skin in the Qvevri. This delicate and harmonious amber wine is special for its notes of Georgian spices, apricot, and dried apples. It is a passionate, energetic wine with strong tannin and a pleasant acidity.
