This wine is made from Khikhvi, an endemic variety of grape grown in the vineyards of Chikaani village, Kvareli, Kakheti.
The wine spends 6 months ageing on skin in the Qvevri. This historical Kakhetian variety has a special ability to accumulate sugar and become distinguished, powerful wines.
On your first sip you instantly feel the aromas of candied hazelnut and black tea. It’s a full bodied wine with strong tannins and long finish.
It combines perfect with: meat salad, nuts, goat cheese and even sushi.
Serve slightly chilled at 12-14°.
