This Vita Vinea Rkatsiteli wine is made from the Rkatsiteli grape variety which is grown in the Kakheti- Tsinandali region. The first cultivated remnants of the Rkatsiteli grape are found in southern Georgia and are considered to be about 8000 years old.
This Vita Vinea Rkatsiteli wine is produced in a traditional Georgian way by the leading Georgian winemaker Temuri Dakishvili. The grapes are fermented in a Qvevri which is buried in the soil, so the temperature is constant and low – this is essential in the fermentation process of the wine. Due to the long-term contact with the skin and sticks of the grape, the wine has a nice amber color.
