Sopho’s is a new commercial winery started in 2019 by a NL / GE couple.
Amber wine is a white wine that has acquired its amber/orange color through skin contact during winemaking (just like you make red wine). This gives a more complex wine with more intense flavors. Our Rkatsiteli amber is characterized by round tannins with a fruity nose. In the mouth there are nicely balanced notes of dried fruit, peach, apricot, and a hint of caramel.
Pairs well with cheeses, pastas, and nuts.
