General Information
Ocho Chinuri is a lively amber wine from the village of Plevi, located in the Kartli wine region in central Georgia. The wine is made from the white grape Chinuri, a variety that has been cultivated in this region for centuries and symbolizes local winemaking.
The wine is fully naturally vinified: spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, no additives, and one month of skin contact in qvevri. This results in a wine with subtle structure, depth, and fresh elegance – typical of amber wines from Kartli.
Tasting Profile of Ocho Chinuri
The wine has a golden-amber hue. In the aroma, you discover notes of yellow fruit, green tea, citrus zest, and light spices.
On the palate, the wine is dry, light, and refined, with pleasant acidity, soft tannins, and a refreshing, lightly spicy finish. The style is subtle and approachable, but with enough character for the table.
