This Ethno Saperavi is made from grapes from perhaps the best region of Georgia for this grape: Khashmi, Kakheti.
The wine has a deep, intense, purple color with dark tears. Rich and complex on the nose – black currant, fresh leather, plum, spicy notes and hints of dark sour chocolate. It is a full bodied wine with strong tannins and a juicy acidity with a long memorable aftertaste.
This wine has great aging potential, although it is now ready for consumption.
The wine goes well with meat on the grill or oven-roasted game meat. But also good with au gratin or grilled peppers and beef tomatoes, seasoned in Mediterranean style and spicy fresh cheeses, both the wine and the dish are beautifully reflected.
