General Information
Wine People Shemodgomis Shavi is an artisanal, dry red wine from Kartli, vinified in traditional qvevri from the rare grape Shemodgomis Shavi. The name literally means “the black of autumn,” referring both to the color and the character of this understated, spicy wine.
The wine is produced as part of the Wine People project, an initiative that helps small Georgian winemakers showcase their unique micro-productions worldwide. This wine is entirely handcrafted, with spontaneous fermentation and aging in embedded terracotta qvevri.
