General Information
Wine People Black Muscat is a unique, dry red qvevri wine made from a striking blend: 70% Muscat, complemented by Tavkveri and Saperavi. The wine originates from Georgia and was vinified by Beka Nasrashvili, one of the small-scale winemakers within the Wine People project, which presents special artisanal wines annually.
The wine is made entirely by hand and fermented in qvevri, without the addition of commercial yeasts or additives. Thanks to gentle skin maceration and a natural style, this is a light, elegant red wine with floral notes and a fine structure.

Fun Fact
Black Muscat is not an official grape variety name, but here it refers to a blend with a high proportion of Muscat, which is rarely used in red Georgian wines. Together with the fruity Tavkveri and the powerful Saperavi, it creates a remarkably light qvevri wine with a very distinctive character. Beka Nasrashvili demonstrates how versatile the Georgian wine tradition can be – even within the realm of natural red wines.
