General Information
Wine People Amber Blend Kakheti is a characterful amber wine from qvevri, made from three indigenous white grape varieties: Kisi, Khikhvi, and Rkatsiteli. This wine is handcrafted by Dachi Tavadze, a 53-year-old chemist who has been cultivating grapes since 2015 in the Eagle Gorge, located in the Georgian region of Kakheti. The vineyards are situated on historic ground, where ancient qvevris and clay vats have been excavated – tangible evidence of the long wine tradition in this valley.
Tasting Profile of Wine People Amber Blend Kakheti
The wine has a deep, dark yellow color with amber reflections. On the nose, aromas of dried apricot, orange peel, quince, and spicy tea emerge. The taste is powerful and layered: dried fruit, soft tannins, a hint of spices, and a dry, long finish. The qvevri fermentation with skin contact gives the wine structure, grip, and complexity, without oak aging.

Fun Fact
Dachi Tavadze started winemaking only at the age of 43, after a career as a chemist. His choice of the Eagle Gorge was no coincidence: ancient qvevris and wine fragments have been found here, indicating that this valley has been used as a wine region for centuries. His use of traditional vinification methods and indigenous varieties results in an honest, earthy, and expressive amber wine.
