Tchotiashvili Muskaturi comes from the own vineyards of Tchotiashvili in Saniore, in the Kakheti region of Georgia. The SB label means “Specially Bottled,” indicating that the winemaker personally inspects and signs each bottle. With a limited edition, each bottle has a unique number. This qvevri wine follows traditional Kakhetian technology. The maceration lasts seven months on full grape skins, seeds, and stems. Tchotiashvili uses no additional substances and disinfects the qvevri only with sulfur (SO2). The Rkatsiteli Muskaturi vine was planted in 2006, at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level. The light, sandy, chalky soil requires no extra water.
The Tchotiashvili Muskaturi has a clear, warm amber color. When opening the bottle, you smell a refined scent of autumn flowers. This aroma indicates the wine’s complexity. Tasting reveals a subtly emphasized acidity that beautifully balances the powerful tannins. The wine offers a long-lasting taste experience with an enduring finish, reflecting the rich tradition of the Kakheti region.
This wine is best enjoyed with dishes that complement its robust character. Think of grilled red meats, game dishes, or a rich stew. Ripe cheeses and dishes with spicy or savory sauces also pair well with this wine. As a result, Tchotiashvili Muskaturi provides a versatile addition to various culinary creations, making every dinner a special experience.
