General Information
Old Pulteney 12 Year Old is a characterful Highland single malt whisky, originating from the northern coastal town of Wick. The distillery is located just a stone’s throw from the sea, which contributes to the maritime signature that makes this whisky so recognizable.
The whisky is fully matured in ex-bourbon barrels made of American oak, providing a pleasant balance between vanilla, oak, and fresh fruit. Without peated smoke, but full of subtle salty elegance – a classic dram with a clear sense of origin.

Fun Fact
Old Pulteney is also known as “The Maritime Malt.” The distillery is one of the northernmost on the Scottish mainland and was once located directly by the sea – so close that whisky was shipped by boat. You can still taste that location: a light saltiness subtly woven into a soft and accessible dram loved by both beginners and connoisseurs.
