Labara Aladasturi
Labara Aladasturi is a light dry red wine from Kakheti, Georgia. This wine, made from hand-harvested Aladasturi grapes, ages in qvevri, traditional Georgian clay pots. The fermentation process in the qvevri, with grape pulp, lasts for a month. This gives the wine a unique character and a rich flavor.
The wine has a lively red-purple color. Aromas of red berries, strawberries, and herbs dominate. On the palate, the wine offers a smooth texture and flavors of ripe berries. The finish is long and refreshing. Thanks to its light body and pleasant acidity, this wine is suitable for many occasions.
Labara Aladasturi pairs well with grilled white meat, light pasta dishes, and soft cheeses. It is also delightful to drink on its own on a warm summer day. For the best taste, serve the wine lightly chilled at 14-16°C.
Labara Winery is located in Vartsikhe, Imereti, and was founded by Dato Gagua and Shalva Sikharulidze. The winery restores the ancient wine traditions of the region. They combine traditional techniques with modern technologies to produce high-quality wines. The vineyard covers 12 hectares and benefits from the breeze of the Black Sea and the Caucasus, providing ideal conditions for grape growing.
