General Information
Hegyem Amber is a powerful orange wine from Hungary, made by Cisca Ansem. This field blend is composed of various white grape varieties that are harvested and fermented together, just as they grow side by side in the vineyard.
The must ferments for 21 days with skins and pips, giving the wine its characteristic amber color, structure, and tannins. After fermentation, the wine ages for an additional 12 months in small wooden barrels, adding extra depth and subtle spiciness. Like all wines from Hegyem, this wine is organic and vegan, completely free of animal clarifying agents.
Tasting Profile of Hegyem Amber

On the nose, aromas of ripe apricot, orange peel, almond, herbs, and a hint of vanilla emerge.
The taste is powerful and complex, with a firm structure, light tannins, an earthy undertone, and a fresh, fruity core. The barrel aging imparts a subtle toast and spice note, and the finish is long, spicy, and layered.
