François and Sylvie Gerbeaut Beaune 1er Cru Les Épenottes 2020 is a concentrated, authentic red Burgundy from the Premier Cru vineyard Les Épenottes, located on the border of Beaune and Pommard. This location results in a wine with the finesse of Beaune and the structure of Pommard.
François Gerbeaut comes from an old winemaking family in Pommard. Since 2006, he and his wife Sylvie have been managing the estate from Meursault, where they oversee approximately 6.5 hectares following a sustainable (‘raisonnée’) approach. Since 2022, their son Antoine Gerbeaut, the sixth generation, has also become part of the estate.
All work is carried out by the family themselves, except for the harvest. The estate’s wines are known for their honesty, depth, and terroir expression.

The wine has a deep ruby color.
Nose: intense and pure, with aromas of blackberries, elderberries, juniper berries, and a hint of licorice.
