General Information
Etna Rosso DOC ‘Contrada Pianodario’ is a red wine of exceptional origin: the northern slope of Mount Etna, where volcanic soils, altitude, and cooling mountain winds produce wines with refinement and tension. The wine is primarily made from Nerello Mascalese, sourced from old vines at high altitude within the microzone Contrada Pianodario, near Randazzo.
The vinification takes place in the traditional way, with spontaneous fermentation and aging in neutral vessels or large casks, so that the terroir remains central. No over-extraction or dominance of wood – pure Etna in the glass.
