General Information
Chona’s Marani Chinuri-Rkatsiteli Qvevri Wine is a traditional amber wine from Georgia, made from a blend of Chinuri and Rkatsiteli. The wine is produced by Mikheil Chonashvili, an artisanal winemaker who works according to centuries-old Georgian methods. Fermentation and aging take place in qvevris – buried clay vats – with full skin contact. The grapes come from two different regions: Kartli (Chinuri) and Kakheti (Rkatsiteli), which gives the wine extra depth and balance.
