General Information
Capuano-Ferreri Cheurlin Cuvée Prestige Chassagne-Montrachet 2022 is a rich, elegant white Burgundy from the southern part of the Côte de Beaune. This cuvée is made from Chardonnay grapes sourced from three carefully selected plots, all located next to Premier Cru vineyards — two bordering Morgeot and one next to Vergers, with a view of the famous Grand Cru Le Montrachet.
The vineyards are situated at elevations between 220 and 325 meters, with soils ranging from gravelly limestone and marl to sand. Hand harvesting and careful selection ensure optimal quality. After cold settling, the juice ferments at 16 °C in partly new oak barrels. The wine then ages for 12 to 14 months, of which 8 to 10 months in new wood, resulting in structure, depth, and aging potential.
Capuano-Ferreri, founded in 1987 by oenologist Gino Capuano and former professional footballer Jean-Marc Ferreri, is now led by John Capuano from Santenay. The estate cultivates about 12 hectares in areas including Santenay, Chassagne, and Pommard.

Fun Fact
The Cuvée Prestige from Capuano-Ferreri comes from vineyards located right next to some of the best climats of Chassagne-Montrachet. The plots are close to Premier Cru Morgeot and Les Vergers, benefiting from a similar terroir. The precise, natural vinification and aging partly in new wood produce a wine that already impresses but can also age beautifully.
