This Babaneuris Marani Kisi is made from the similarly named Kisi grape. The vineyard is located in the Kakheti region of East Georgia, in the village of Babaneuri. This wine is fermented in the Qvevri, an 8,000-year-old traditional method of making wine in clay jars buried in the ground. Due to the prolonged contact with the grape skins, which are added to the Qvevri along with the juice, this wine has acquired an amber color.
This Babaneuris Marani Kisi has developed into an absolute top wine in the Qvevri. With aromas of almond, pear, and honey with a hint of almond and spices, this is a complex wine that you will enjoy until the last sip. And the last drop in the glass fills it with a delicious soft honey scent as if it comes fresh from the honeycomb.
To make this wine stand out, pair it with white meat or salty cheese. But this wine also shines with sushi dishes!
