General Information
Arrochella Douro Grandes Quintas Colheita is an elegant red wine from the heart of the Douro Valley in Northern Portugal. This wine is a classic blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, and Tinta Roriz – the backbone of Portuguese wine tradition.
After destemming, the grapes ferment for six days in stainless steel tanks, under controlled temperature to preserve the fruit and aromatic expression optimally. At least half of the wine matures in French oak, which adds depth, structure, and refined vanilla tones.
The wine is part of the Grandes Quintas line from Quinta da Arrochella, originating from higher-altitude plots with poor soils and lots of sun, but also nighttime cooling.
Tasting Profile

Fun Fact
Douro is mainly famous for its port, but also produces impressive dry red wines. The grape varieties used in this Arrochella Colheita are the same as for top port, but here they are vinified dry. Thanks to the climate, the altitude of the vineyards, and the use of partial oak aging, a wine is created that brings power and elegance into perfect balance.
