General Information
Wine People Tavkveri is a refined red wine made from the traditional Georgian grape variety Tavkveri, produced as part of the annual Wine People project. This initiative helps small winemakers with limited batches bring their special wines to market.
The grapes come from the Kartli region, where Tavkveri displays its most expressive, fresh style. The wine is made without qvevri, using a classic vinification method, focusing on pure fruit, subtle spiciness, and elegant structure.
Tasting Profile of Wine People Tavkveri
The wine has a clear ruby red color. On the nose, you can recognize sour cherry, raspberry, rosehip, and a hint of white pepper.
The taste is light, dry, and spicy, with lively acidity, soft tannins, and an elegant, fresh structure. The wine is smooth to drink but has enough complexity to shine with food.
