General Information
Wine People Red Blend Guria is a dry red qvevri wine from the western region of Guria, Georgia. This natural wine is made by Beso Cherkezishvili, a young agronomist who continues a family tradition in their cellar in Mukhrani alongside his brother. The wine is a blend of two native Georgian grapes: Otskhanuri Sapere and Dzelshavi, sourced from vineyards in Lanchkhuti. Fermentation and aging take place in traditional qvevris (underground clay vessels), without additives or intervention.
Tasting Profile of Wine People Red Blend Guria
The wine has a clear, ruby red color and a light body. On the nose, aromas of red fruit, sour cherry, pomegranate, and subtle spices dominate. The taste is lively and pure, with notes of red berries, floral accents, light tannins, and a fresh, dry finish. Due to the qvevri fermentation, the structure is soft, with a beautiful balance between fruit and mineral qualities.
