Grape Variety and Vinification

This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is produced using traditional methods. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully pressed whole bunches under low pressure to avoid unwanted bitterness. The juice is clarified overnight before undergoing a slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. This process, which takes three weeks, helps preserve the fresh fruit aromas. After the initial fermentation, the wine is stabilized and prepared for secondary fermentation in the bottle, which lasts another three months, creating the fine mousse.

Tasting Profile

Steenberg Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc has an intense aroma of passion fruit, melon, and a hint of lime. On the palate, the wine is light and soft, with a fresh acidity that enhances tropical flavors such as pineapple, pear, and guava. The subtle bubbles make this wine wonderfully thirst-quenching and approachable.
