Rtoni Khikhvi

The vineyards of Khikvi Qvevri are located in Vazisubani, a unique microzone of Kakheti. This natural amber-colored wine is made according to traditional Kakhetian methodology. Hand-harvested and pressed ripe grapes, along with stems, skins, and seeds, are placed in Qvevri for further fermentation and left there for up to eight months. Tasting notes: jasmine, orange-eucalyptus, lychee, white cherry, melon, wood. The wine pairs well with chicken, barbecue, and vegetable dishes.
