Oude Kaap Chardonnay Reserve

The wines of Oude Kaap originate from the beautiful Franschhoek Valley, with the steep Groot Drakenstijn mountains in the background. Determination, perseverance, passion, and innovation are the cornerstones of Oude Kaap, and this legacy continues to live on in the new generation of winemakers. For the wines of Oude Kaap, the best grapes from the region are selected. Through intensive contact with the winemakers, they determine which plots are best suited, as well as a very strict selection of the grapes and the barrels chosen for the Oude Kaap series. Oude Kaap is part of DGB/Douglas Green Bellingham, one of South Africa’s largest independent producers and distributors of wine.

This beautiful Reserve is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks with toasted French oak staves.

Aromas of melon and exotic and tropical fruits dominate. With its creamy and soft taste, subtle attractive oak notes, and the presence of light fresh acidity, this wine has many fans.

Enjoy it as an aperitif, or pair it with seafood, salads, and asparagus.
