Nucano Mezcal Joven Espadin reveals the rich traditions of mezcal production in Oaxaca, Mexico. This young mezcal is carefully distilled from the Espadin agave, known for its sweet and fruity character. The agaves are cooked in an earthen pit with volcanic stones, resulting in a deep, smoky flavor. After cooking, the agaves are finely mashed and fermented in open vats, followed by distillation in copper stills, true to the traditional methods of the region.
Taste Profile
This mezcal has a clear, crystalline color and offers aromas of smoked wood and sweet agave upon opening. On the palate, it is powerful with hints of citrus and black pepper, followed by a long, complex finish where the smoky notes gradually linger.
