General Information
Mercurey 1er Cru ‘Les Naugues’ 2019 is a refined red Burgundy from Domaine Tremeaux Père & Fils, located in the Côte Chalonnaise. The wine is made entirely from Pinot Noir and comes from the recognized Premier Cru climate ‘Les Naugues’, known for its limestone and clay soils and good exposure.
The wine is vinified in a classic style and then partly aged in wood: 50% of the wine matures in new oak barrels, giving the Pinot Noir an elegant structure, spicy finesse, and well-integrated oak notes.
2019 was an excellent vintage in Burgundy, with perfect ripening conditions. This wine combines depth with charm and also offers aging potential of 7 to 10 years under good conditions.

Upon opening, the wine may initially show some reductive notes – a sign of careful cellaring. A short aeration (for example, decanting) fully opens the bouquet and allows the wine to reveal its full character.
