General Information
Chona’s Marani Kisi-Mtsvane is a traditional amber wine from Kakheti, vinified according to the classic qvevri method. This blend of Kisi and Mtsvane combines the aromatic strength of Kisi with the floral elegance of Mtsvane.
After manual harvest, the grapes are fermented together in qvevri, with full skin maceration and spontaneous fermentation. The wine then ages for months on the skins and is bottled unfiltered, without the addition of sulfites. Chona’s Marani works artisanally and with minimal intervention, resulting in a pure, complex wine.

Fun Fact
Kisi is an ancient grape variety from Kakheti that nearly disappeared during the Soviet era. In combination with Mtsvane, literally “green” in Georgian, it creates a unique amber style with both strength and finesse. The qvevri technique used to make this wine is at the heart of Georgian wine culture and has been practiced for over 8,000 years.
