General Information
Château de Fleurie is an elegant and structured red wine from the cru Fleurie, one of the most refined appellations within Beaujolais in southern Burgundy. This wine is produced by winemaker Frédéric Maignet, originating from vineyards on the famous slopes of Le Bourg, Les Rochaux, Point du Jour, and La Madone.
The soil consists of granite with a depth of 50 cm to 1 meter, ensuring good drainage and deep rooting of the vines. The wine is made from 100% Gamay Noir. After a maceration of 15 to 20 days for optimal tannin extraction, the wine ages for 8 to 9 months in wooden barrels, which adds complexity and refinement. The wine has an aging potential of 2 to 5 years.

Fun Fact
The cru Fleurie is known as the most floral and elegant of the ten Beaujolais crus, but in the hands of Frédéric Maignet, this wine also shows strength, structure, and depth. Thanks to aging in wood and a long skin maceration, it is one of the few Fleurie wines with clear aging potential. Château de Fleurie thus serves as a perfect bridge between Burgundian finesse and Beaujolais energy.
