General Information
Casale Vecchio Montepulciano d’Abruzzo (black) is a powerful red wine originating from the hilly region of Abruzzo on Italy’s Adriatic coast. The wine is made from 100% Montepulciano grapes, grown on calcareous and clay-rich soils that provide structure and concentration.
The grapes for this wine are carefully selected from old vineyards with low yields. After harvest, maceration on the skins is followed by aging in oak barrels, which gives the wine its rich flavor and velvety structure. The black label version is known for its extra depth, strength, and elegance within the Casale Vecchio range.
