General Information
Becker Landgraf J2 Spätburgunder Sankt-Laurent is a refined red wine from Rheinhessen, produced by the passionate winemaking duo Julia and Johannes Landgraf. The J2 series represents their shared vision: terroir-driven wines with precision and tension.
This cuvée consists of Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) and Sankt Laurent, two closely related Burgundian grape varieties. The grapes come from limestone-rich slopes near Eppelsheim and are hand-harvested. After spontaneous fermentation, the wine ages partly in oak barrels, contributing to its structure and aromatic complexity.
Tasting Profile of Becker Landgraf J2 Spätburgunder Sankt-Laurent
The wine has a bright red color with light ruby hues. On the nose, you find aromas of raspberry, cherry, rose leaf, and a hint of spices such as white pepper and clove.
On the palate, the wine is juicy, lively, and refined. The fresh red fruit is beautifully supported by silky tannins, fresh acidity, and a touch of wood. The finish is elegant and lightly earthy, with good length.
