Tchotiashvili Rosé Nitsa is an exclusive and artisanal Qvevri rosé wine from the Georgian Kakheti region, produced by Tchotiashvili Family Vineyards. This special wine, a blend of Montepulciano and Tavkveri, is made with the utmost care and is a tribute to Nitsa, the daughter of winemaker Kakha Tchotiashvili, who at the age of seven expressed her wish to make rosé wine.
Grape Variety and Vinification
Tchotiashvili uses only grapes from their own vineyards in Saniore, Kakheti. This SB wine (Specially Bottled) undergoes a strict quality process and is only sold after approval and signing by the winemaker. Each bottle is uniquely numbered, and production is highly limited.
Fermentation takes place with skin contact for three days in Qvevri, after which the wine ferments for another 20 days without skins in the same clay vessels. The wine is then aged for three months in oak barrels, adding extra complexity and refinement.
Taste Profile
Tchotiashvili Rosé Nitsa has a lively and refined character, with intense aromas of ripe berries, raspberry, cranberry, and rosehip. On the palate, you experience a refreshing acidity, a soft texture, and a subtle influence of oak, which contributes to the wine’s depth. The fruity and spicy notes make this rosé exceptionally complex and elegant.
