A ‘product’ in Veneto is Prosecco, originating from the northeastern part of the region, around the villages of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, and made from the eponymous grape variety. Although sweet variants also exist, most Proseccos are dry and almost always sparkling to some degree (in the form of a Spumante) or less so (in the form of a Frizzante).
This wine is made from Glera grapes. The grapes are pressed immediately after harvest to minimize contact with the skins, after which fermentation takes place in small stainless steel tanks.
The wine is then cooled and placed back into small pressurized stainless steel tanks, where the mousse is created in the wine.
This Prosecco has a straw yellow color, with fine bubbles. The nose is intense and aromatic with hints of apple and peach blossom. On the palate, it is smooth, velvety, with a harmonious and aromatic finish.
Delicious as an aperitif, perfect with an appetizer, but also the ideal complement to a fish meal.
