The Marlborough region is highly suitable for Sauvignon Blanc. The warm days, cool nights, and limited rainfall in summer and autumn ensure optimal, long, and slow ripening of the grapes, allowing them to retain their aromas to the fullest. It is also referred to as the most serious competitor to renowned French Sauvignon Blancs such as Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé. Both traditional and the most modern techniques are used, enabling the production of very high-quality wines.
The result is a very aromatic wine with ‘grassy’ notes and aromas of, among others, melon and citrus fruit. Due to the fresh acids present and necessary, the wine appears very fruity and is drinkable at an early stage. It is a very intense wine, full of tropical fruit flavors, with a very long finish.
Excellent as an aperitif or pair it with seafood, light meats, pasta, salads, or Asian cuisine.
