La Villette Chardonnay
La Villette Chardonnay is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. These grapes come from vineyards in the southwest of France, at the foot of the Pyrenees, and from Mediterranean coastal areas. The grapes ferment for 10 to 12 days in French and American oak, then age for 6 months “sur lie.” Because half of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, the natural freshness is preserved. Early bottling ensures that the fresh and primary aromas retain their liveliness and complexity.
La Villette Chardonnay is both refreshing and complex. You can smell notes of lemon tart, banana, and pear. These are followed by warm aromas of toasted bread, vanilla, and roasted nuts. Tasting reveals a lively acidity and a smooth texture. This results in a pleasant and long-lasting finish. Additionally, the combination of fruity and warm tones makes this wine versatile and suitable for various occasions.
La Villette Chardonnay pairs excellently with various fish dishes, such as baked or grilled fish, smoked salmon, and shellfish. It also complements lightly grilled meat dishes and soft, creamy cheeses. The fresh acidity and complex aromas enhance the flavors of the dishes, creating a harmonious culinary experience. For the best tasting experience, serve this Chardonnay lightly chilled at a temperature of about 10-12°C.
