General Information
Don Papa The Original is a small batch rum from the island of Negros (also known as Sugarlandia) in the Philippines. The rum is distilled from locally produced molasses from sugarcane and then aged in American oak barrels at the foot of Mount Kanlaon volcano.
The combination of tropical climate, rich soil, and oak aging gives Don Papa its characteristic smooth, rich, and aromatic style. The rum is light in color but powerful in aroma and flavor – and very accessible for both novice and experienced rum drinkers.

Fun Fact
Don Papa is named after Dionisio Magbuelas, nicknamed “Papa Isio” – a revolutionary leader during the Filipino fight for independence. His spirit of freedom and rebellion lives on in this distinctive rum, which deliberately chooses an exotic, accessible, and pronounced style. Don Papa The Original is thus more than just a rum – it’s a statement in your glass.
