Sopho’s winery Saperavi 2020

Sopho’s is a new commercial winery started in 2019 by a NL / GE couple.
This red dry wine is made from 100% Saperavi grapes. This teinturier grape (grape with red flesh) is a very characteristic grape for red Georgian wines. This grape gives a deep red ruby color. A full bodied wine with harmonious aromas of blackberry, plum and cherry, notes of dried fruit. This wine is very young and still strong in its tannins. This makes it easy to store, which will make the taste experience softer. When drinking directly, decanting is recommended.

The wine pairs wonderfully with a good steak, cheese platter and stews.
