The Babaneuris Marani Saperavi 2015 is made from the Saperavi grape. The vineyard is located in the Kakheti region in East Georgia, in the Babaneuri village of the same name. This wine has fermented for almost 1 year in the Qvevri. Because of the long-term contact with the skin of the grape, this wine has a deep red color. The Saperavi grape is already a tinted grape that also has red flesh. Due to the very long fermentation process in the Qvevri, there is a very high risk that the wine does not come out as one would like. In previous years, this wine has also received low scores on Vivino. However, this year a beautiful wine has come out and we have included it in our assortment.
Babaneuris Marani Saperavi 2015
A wine for the experienced wine drinker: a real adventure. This is a traditional Georgian wine: powerful tannins, but an unrivaled unique taste of the beautiful and widely praised Saperavi grape!
If you are patient: let the wine lie for 3-5 years at a temperature between 5 and 10 degrees, and it will become softer and even better!
